I see BMW's pillarless design has a long history.

Albrecht Graf von Goertz made quite some designs, not sure if this one is not even looking better than a 507.

I think the side and rear 3/4 views it certainly gives the 507 a run for it's money, but the front is slightly too pinched vs the 507's wide kidney grille for me to give it an overall win. Between the 502, 3 and 7 there was such a huge difference in the twin grille, unlike these days where all the models ape each other

In Portland or the surrounding area, I assume? That's... a thing of beauty.

I saw one on BaT not that long ago for like $160ish, but I think the nicest ones are over $200k.

The 'pinched' front is actually what it makes a BMW with those prominent kidneys. Although extremely beautiful, the wide kidney-grille of the 507 make it, for me that is, less recognizable as a BMW. The ASA GT and Iso Grifo for example, though they were designed somewhat later, have the same style grille. But as I said: I'm not sure which one would win overall either.

jesus I wonder who had the balls to drive it down a cobblestone street then. I didnt know they went that high. I know the 502 like I used to have is still reasonable. In the 20-40 range for a driver

I had no idea you owned a 502.
You're like my favorite person.

3.2 Super. My ex-fiance's aunt bought it new and gave it to me. After we broke up I felt bad and gave it back, and the Cooper S my ex bought for me. I kind of wish I just kept it all, but I had to move stuff back east. All I took was my E3 3.0S, everything else got sold

got to do it man. Still have 2 young kids, have to renovate my dads new house up here over the next 2 years so he can retire and be closer (means a 1,5 hour commute each way), girlfriend is taking up alot of my time. I havent had a bike out much. Just terrible but once things settle I will build up the fleet again
